"This course is for learners with no prior knowledge of Persian. It offers you an opportunity to develop your skills in four areas of language acquisition: listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing. A good knowledge of Arabic is helpful for reading Persian. This course is designed for those who wish to attain a basic understanding of the Persian language covering four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. It aims to equip students with the Persian alphabet, morphology and syntax, and basic sentence constructions in Persian, the basics of Persian grammar and acquire limited vocabulary to be able, with the aid of a dictionary, to read basic modern texts and conduct basic everyday conversation. A wide range of subjects will be presented in class, including audio-visual resources and written materials. This course encourages simple conversation, as well as interactive communication using a variety of materials. Topics covered at this level include communication in everyday situation. This programme will introduce basic grammar fields and more syntactic constructions, as well as continuing to expand students' vocabulary in a variety of lexical fields. You will be assessed through a range of classroom activities, including group and individual piece of writing. What does it lead to? You can progress to Persian Language Elementary level. "
You will need to be aged 19 or older and eligible to study in the UK. Upon enrolment, you will be asked to upload residency and income documents for college funding purposes. You will also need to visit our Tottenham Centre to complete and sign our learning agreement.
Upon successful completion of the course you can progress into further study in this area.
