About the Course

If you are considering working in the construction industry, but have been apprehensive due to the stereotype of it being an industry for men, this women-only course will provide you with an introduction to the sector, specifically focused on plumbing. You will be taught in our industry-standard facilities by expert tutors, who are all qualified plumbers. The course combines practical workshop sessions with theory sessions, equipping you for further study and employment in the field.

What Will I Study?

Topics covered can include:

  • Working as a professional plumber, heating or gas engineer
  • Heating systems, cold water supplies and other systems
  • Different types of pipe and their applications
  • Tools and materials for plumbing
  • Health and safety in plumbing

What Will I Need?

You will need to be a woman, aged 19 or older and eligible to study in the UK. Upon enrolment, you will be asked to upload residency and income documents for college funding purposes.

What Can I Do After?

Upon successful completion of the course you can progress into further study in this area, such as Plumbing - Level 1.
