Reading Techniques for Upper Intermediate

Wish to apply for universities? Disappointed at your reading skills? Join us today to improve your reading skills, one of the most challenging parts of your academic exams! You will learn about exam formats, types of questions and how to answer them. You will also learn how to improve your concentration when reading. This 10-week non-accredited onsite course is for students who are preparing for the IELTS or similar academic exams, as well as those who have a knowledge of English at Upper Intermediate level or currently studying ESOL and Functional Skills English at Level 1/2. This course will enhance your reading skills by helping you understand texts with a wide vocabulary where you may need to consider the writer's opinion. The texts will include articles, reports, messages, short stories and reviews. Each lesson will have a preparation task, a reading text and tasks to check your understanding and to practise a variety of reading skills. Make a start today! You will need to be aged 19 or older and eligible to study in the UK. Upon enrolment, you will be asked to upload residency and income documents for college funding purposes. You will also need to visit our Tottenham Centre to complete and sign our learning agreement.

Upon successful completion of the course you can progress into further study in this area.
