All Aboard! College Learners visit Casio Tour Bus
The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London welcomed the Casio 'Turn Up Your Noise Tour' double decker bus on the last visit of its nationwide tour today (Friday, 7 December) at its Enfield Centre.
For the past two weeks, Casio have been taking their trademark bus to key locations across London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and Bristol. College learners were welcomed aboard to experiment with sound, song and music. The aim of the tour is for music enthusiasts to test out two new Casio synthesisers with the help of some of Europe’s finest DJs and producers.
Health and Social Care Level 3 learners Angel Brown and Laura Wotton tried out the synthesisers. Angel said: “It’s really cool, I love music and I’d like to learn piano.”
Her friend, Laura Wotton, added: “I love music, I can use it to motivate me and I can use it to calm me down, or make me feel happy.”
Daniel Mason, Senior Marketing Manager, Casio Electronics Co Ltd, said: "We've been amazed by the quality of talent as we've travelled the country. The tour has inspired us to look into further opportunities to work with schools and colleges in more depth and provide students the chance to work closely with the Casio XW Synths on sound generation, sequencing, sampling and producing music."
Joel Wynn, Head of School for Creative and Media said: “Visits like this one add to the variety of college life and inspire our learners’ to use new technology in their music and media productions.”
