College Open Evening draws hundreds of visitors
The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East Londonâ€™s Tottenham Centre Open Evening (Thursday, 7 Feb) attracted almost 250 visitors who had come to learn more about courses and in many cases, apply!
The College offers over 300 courses in 14 subject areas, and business was brisk at each of the information desks. Semishia Asphall (16) attended with her sister Serael (18) to find out more about Animation and Games Design from College Animation Level 3 Learner Dominic Esprit. Semishia said: “I love drawing and I love computer games, so I’m really hoping to get on a course in September.”
Gemma Hayes (17) attended with her mother Alison to find out more about Beauty courses and careers from tutor Susie Carroll. Gemma said: “I’d like to study Beauty Therapy Level 2 and then progress to Theatrical Media and Make Up Level 3.”
Esad Bidri (17), John Deguzman (23) and Henok Abraham (28) came for advice about Science courses from tutor Laurence George. Esad and Henok are interested in progressing to degrees in civil engineering and petroleum Engineering respectively, and John wants to progress to a degree in Microbiological science. The College offers Access to Science for students over 19 as well as a range of Engineering courses.
