Creative Arts students rewarded with a trip to Paris
College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London Level 3 Media and Art students enjoyed a three day trip to Paris last month, where they visited some of the capital’s most famous attractions.
Media students visited Disneyland Paris where they toured the Disney movie studios, gaining insight into the billion pound industry. Meanwhile Art and Design students toured Paris to marvel at the many examples of beautiful classical architecture, as well as the Louvre Museum and Sacre Couer in Montmartre where they got the chance to watch local street artists expressing their creativity.
Karl Wightman, who will be going on to the University of Hertfordshire to study Illustration and Graphic Design in September, spoke about the trip at the Art and design end of year show. He said: “The trip was so much fun and a great way to end the year.” He added: “I’m looking forward to going to university in September. Ultimately I’d like to be a Freelance Illustrator but I’d also like to teach in further education.”
Jane O’Neill, Vice Principal for Curriculum and Learner Experience, said: ”This trip was an excellent way to end their studies at the College and I hope the inspiration they got from this will help them pave their way towards a career in the creative industry.”
