Performing arts students at the College of North East London (CONEL) staged a charity performance of Kafka's Metamorphosis, to raise money for the National Autistic Society (NAS).
The College of North East London (CONEL) will be hosting a Creative Arts Summer Festival, from 27 June to 10 July. Events will take place at CONEL's Tottenham High Road site and at the Collage Arts, located in the Chocolate Factory 2, Coburg Road in Wood Green, London N22.
Events during the two-week long festival will include two art exhibitions - showcasing a variety of students' work. Work will include painting, print, photography and sculpture; as well as screenings of video installations. Drama students will be staging three plays, two of which have been devised by performing arts students; the third is an adaptation of Kafka's book - Metamorphosis. A music evening will take place at The Karamel Club at Collage Arts, and a lunchtime session featuring the College's top vocalists, is scheduled to take place in CONEL's Pavilion.
Tickets for all events will be free but as places are limited, they will be available on the door on a first come - first served basis.
CONEL creative students will also be on-hand at the Tottenham Carnival, which kicks off with a parade leaving Eade Road N15, at 11am on Saturday 25 June. The procession of floats will come to rest two hours later in Bruce Castle Park. Anyone who would like to find out more about studying at CONEL is invited to visit the CONEL marquee at Bruce Castle Park from 1pm.
