First college in UK to get Travel and Tourism Institute's training in excellence
The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London is the first College in the country to achieve the coveted Business Excellence in Education (BEE) endorsement from the Institute of Travel and Tourism (ITT). An award previously held only by universities the Institute is reaching out to colleges to ensure they achieve the same levels of excellence in professionalism and customer service for the Travel and Tourism industry.
The endorsement means that the College will now be able to offer many unique and exciting development opportunities for its learners which will enhance their prospects of going to university and of getting the best Travel and Tourism career opportunities.
Head of School for Travel and Tourism, Darren Leftwich said: "The Institute of Travel and Tourism Endorsement Scheme is a model of excellence which ensures the standard of travel and tourism teaching we offer meets industry needs and standards and also offers progression routes to university and to work for our students. I am thrilled that our College is the first in the country to achieve this accreditation which is wonderful recognition for the commitment and hard work put in by our staff and students."
The College's BEE-ITT endorsement will be officially announced at a Central London location later in the year.
