The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London was host to the London Cycling Campaign (LCC) on Wednesday (7 November).

Funded by Transport for London and delivered by LCC - Dr Bike mechanics were on hand to offer free servicing and repairs to staff and learner’s bikes, as well as, offer test rides and offer advice and maps about cycle safety and cycle routes.
Brickwork learner Tomayne James and Construction Learner Mohamed Ohedian tried out some of the bikes.
Tomayne said: “I’ve been riding BMX bikes for about ten years, but I’ve never thought about riding to College before.”
Mohamed said: “I cycle a lot but not to College.  I’ll definitely try cycling to College after today.”
Event Coordinator Paul Murray said: “It’s important for us to host events like this so that we can get the message out that cycling saves you money and keeps you fit – and really since most of us can and already do enjoy cycling it’s fun and it’s easy.”
Jane O’Neill, Vice Principal said: “We want our learners to be safe while they are cycling so we welcome visits by the London Cycling Campaign to teach our students road safety and good cycle maintenance.”
