College Open Day to help hundreds find their future
The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London will be welcoming hundreds of visitors through its doors on Tuesday February 23, during Open Day at the Enfield Centre.
Open Day will be a chance for 16 to 19 year-olds to explore what the College has to offer and gain a better understanding of why it is one of London’s biggest and best vocational further education colleges.
Specialisms include construction and the built environment; health; care; early years and applied sciences; hair; beauty; retail and business; sport and recreation; ICT and creative industries; literacy; numeracy; languages and employment skills.
Potential students can get advice on courses they are interested in and they can also talk to learners to find out what it is like to study at the College.
Advice on everything from childcare and financial support, to extra help with literacy and numeracy will also be available on the day.
At this stage of the academic year the College is still recruiting for courses such as construction, video design, music, hairdressing and beauty, sports and childcare.
Alethia Jean-Marie attended Open Day last year and is now a student at the College. She said she found the day very informative.
“It was a really good way to find out about all of my options in one place. On the day, the staff I met were so friendly and helpful – I got a really good first impression of the College.”
The business student said: “I’m really happy with my choice”.
Open Day at the Enfield Centre runs from 3pm to 7pm and there will be a range of activities and the chance to win an iPod in the prize draw.
