The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London has embraced the spirit of Christmas by donating gifts to homelessness charity Crisis.
Two staff from the College Angela Constantinides and Yazz Duale visited the charity to find out more about the scheme. The pair also presented the charity with a gift of 144 mugs and a boxful of handy cotton tote bags on behalf of the College to be put to good use over the festive period.
Crisis is the national charity for homeless people, dedicated to ending homelessness by delivering life-changing services and campaigning for change. Every Christmas the charity operates Crisis Christmas day centres, which sees vacant and disused buildings in central London transformed into community centres over the festive period.
Many homeless shelters and day centres close for the festive period so Crisis’ initiative provides vital shelter and support to those who would otherwise not have anywhere to sleep.
