College invites in leading manufacturer to speak to plumbing students
The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London invited in leading manufacturer Stuart Turner last week to deliver a seminar to Plumbing students as part of its CPD accredited training academy module.
Stuart Turner have structured the new module to address current legislation to help installers and plumbers learn about all aspects of domestic water pressure boosting solutions and help guide them to select the correct pump for any given application.
The seminar was delivered to students who are currently working the industry, as well as students who are excelling in their studies, providing them with insight into the industry before they go out into the workplace.
Level 2 Plumbing student, Astrit Nela, said: “It was very informative and useful and actually gave us practical tips and advice on installation and product selection.”
Stuart Turner employee, Richard Ballard, said: “To date, it is the best presentation that I have done. The students were engaged and participated, and are a credit to the College.”
As well as delivering the seminar, Stuart Turner also provided the College with two booster pumps and a toilet macerator, which the College can use for future training.
Head of Construction, Tony Smith, said: “Working with employers and suppliers is a priority for us as we want to prepare students as much as possible for the workplace. It’s also a great benefit to be given state-of-the-art products, which are essential for students’ learning.”
