The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London welcomed more than 350 visitors during Open Day at the Tottenham Centre on Saturday 1 May.
Potential students came to explore the College and find out more about the variety of courses on offer. Goodie bags, free mini manicures (provided by Beauty Therapy students) and site tours were also highlights of the day.
One particular visitor, Ellzwa Coleman, attended Open Day to find out more about courses in Hair and Beauty.
Ellzwa is currently studying at Lammas School in Leyton and came along with her father Julian Duribe.
“The College has new facilities and is the best in the area for Hair and Beauty courses. I would like to open my own salon in the future,” Ellzwa said.
“Open Day was really well organised. I’ve already applied for the Hair and Beauty course and have an interview in June.”
Another visitor through the doors at the Tottenham Centre was Sandrine Catlas. She said she was interested in finding out about Childcare courses.
“I would like to do Level 2 and 3 in Childcare. College is the best place to start, as one day I would like to open a day care nursery,” she said.
“Everyone was really helpful at Open Day. All my questions were answered and I know what I need to do next.”
Another Open Day will be held on May 12 at the Enfield Centre where potential students will be able to find out about courses, get advice and pick up their very own goodie bag.
