The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London won the ‘Highly Commended’ prize in the Best Recruitment Campaign category of the FE First 2014 marketing awards. Hosted by the College Marketing Network in November (24 November 2014), the Head of Marketing and Communications, Karen O’Connor and the Marketing team’s Graphic Designer, Elvan Binici attended the glitzy ceremony to collect the College’s hard-won prize.
The FE First Awards are open to all colleges in the country to enter. The Best Recruitment Campaign award is in one of the most highly sought-after and competitive categories, so the Marketing team were especially delighted to win the recognition the award bestowed and bring home their coveted prize.
The College’s ‘highly commended’ recruitment campaign was aimed particularly at 16 – 18 year olds and used a wide mix of advertising media in an integrated and co-ordinated plan over several months from July until late September. From bus supersides, to cinema advertising and social and digital media, the campaign achieved greatly increased enrolments of young people, compared to the previous year.
Kurt Hintz, Vice Principal Curriculum and Learner Experience said: “I am absolutely thrilled that the Marketing team was honoured with this award and that they have received the recognition they deserve for all the hard work they put in.”
