CONEL’s Accounting and Business students have a splashing good time
CONEL’s Accounting and Business Level 2 students travelled up to Hereford to Herts Young Mariner’s Base for their first enrichment activity of the term last month.
The HYMB has been offering outdoor educational opportunities for young people for many years and have expanded their offerings to climbing and problem solving/team building activities.
The groups participated in a number of activities most of which focused around problem solving. In the afternoon they participated in a raft building activity which they all felt was exciting and fun.
Tutor Henry Ezekwelu said “ it provided a wonderful team-building opportunity for students. They were able to build rafts together and use their problem solving skills to solve a range of activities. It was a real fun day."
Student, Dian Thomas, stated “Mariner's Base was a fantastic way for team bonding. It enhanced our self-confidence and helped us to develop self-motivation, leadership qualities and the will to accomplish any task set."
The staff at the HYMB were extremely professional and supportive throughout the activities and made the experience enjoyable for all of the learners present.
