The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London's PASE Football Academy will be holding its first 2013 trail on Thursday 21 February at Boreham Wood Football Club. The PASE Football Academy in partnership with Boreham Wood FC is a popular and respected football and education programme for talented young men aged between 16 to 18 years old.

Members of the Academy train for three days while also studying for a vocational qualification, such as construction or sports, at the College's Enfield Centre.

The trial, which takes place at Borenham Wood FC will give young hopefuls the opportunity to look at College facilities, showcase their talent, and speak to the coaching and medical team, as well as current members.

The Academy is well known amongst its peers and since its inception in 2009 has produced eight England College and Schools capped players, three of these in 2012 alone. In addition, the Academy won the 2010/11 National U19 England Colleges Cup and runners up in 2011/12.

Last year's team captain, Charlie Hunter, trained with the Academy while studying for his NVQ in Sports. After winning a place on the England College national team, Charlie recently went on to win a full scholarship worth $45,000 at a university in America, where he will also study for his Business Degree.

Kurt Hintz, Curriculum Director, said: "Charlie is one example of what you can achieve at the Academy. He worked incredibly hard to get where he is today and any other young hopefuls who are prepared to work just as hard should come along to the trials and they could too be going onto great things."
