College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London's Games Developments students have been chosen to work with London based social enterprise company 'Circle Sports' to develop their advertising and branding.

Circle Sports, which lists Prince Charles as one of their high profile patrons, provides pathways to employment and wants to develop their brand by creating a mascot, games app and website refresh.

Teaming up with Freeformers, which connects businesses with young talent, Circle Sports are working with Games Development students at the College to create a series of proposals.

The students, who are loving the experience of working for a 'live' client, are dealing with the whole process from following the brief and consulting ideas, to completing the work and self-evaluation.

Student, Francis McGowan, said; "This is the perfect project because allows we learn so much through the process and we are more prepared when we start to work."

The students have worked in small groups to complete tasks, consulting with clients for their input and feedback. The students also worked with Dumisani Kopotsha, a successful and established freelance games designer to develop their proposals.

After months of hard work, the students presented their final proposals to Circle Sports and Freeformers at the College's Tottenham Centre. Circle Sports Project Manager, Kofi Oppong, said: "I like the way you have thought about our brand and making it fun and easy to use."

The students are now waiting to hear which of their ideas will go forward.

Jane O'Neill, Vice Principal of Curriculum and Learner Experience, said: "Working on a specific brief for a client is extremely important for the students progression in to work, so this has been a fantastic opportunity for all involved and I look forward to seeing the finished result."
