ABOUT THE COURSE

This part-time introduction certificate will give you the basic skills and knowledge you need to work with children, covering the development and care of children, providing play activities and health and safety.

You will develop your literacy skills with classes in English language, as well as gaining study skills that will help you progress onto a Level 2 qualification, which will qualify you to work with children in a school, nursery or preschool.

Our teachers are currently planning for the safest ways to deliver this course from September. We have been delivering all of our courses online since the outbreak of Coronavirus in March 2020, and we are fully equipped to continue this for as long as is necessary. We hope to be able to deliver the course in a mixed format - blending online lessons with face-to-face teaching – as and when we feel that, on the basis of Government advice and our own risk assessments, it is safe to do so. The ratio of face-to-face teaching in our college buildings to online teaching will vary from course to course, so more specific information will be provided to you at enrolment.
